John McCarthy's Lahinch Surf School is based at the beach hut on Lahinch promenade. Join us for a safe, friendly and fun introduction to the exhilarating sport of surfing!

John has been surfing since the age of 10, surfed with the Irish Surf Team at the age of 13 and has surfed competitively for Ireland, all over the world. Surfing has brough him accross the globe from Hawaii, Australia and Africa to Central America and Asia. We invite you and your friends to come and experience the thrill and excitement of surfing with John and his crew. All of our instructors are Irish Surfing Association Qualified Instructors and Qualified Beach Lifeguards as well as wicked surfers. At Lahinch Surf School we aim to patiently take you through the complete surf experience.

Surf Courses include single surf lessons, multiple lesson surf courses, surf packages with accommodation provided, advanced coaching, private lessons and much more. We have also been running summer camps since 2002 for Groms (age 6-8), Kids (ages 9-12) and teens (age 13-17).
